I bring landscapes to life by designing and installing lively ecosystems.

My work focuses on replacing conventional high-input landscapes with thriving native plant communities.

I convert lawns, mulch beds, and difficult sites into lush gardens that increase the ecological function of landscapes. These bastions of native plants increase the area of critical habitat that supports declining populations of native birds and insects.

Using high density planting methods reduces additional input costs and future maintenance by providing green (or living) mulch, outcompeting weeds and invasives more quickly, and mimicking nature’s process of establishment more closely.
